THE FIRST MONTH

Now that the Obama administration has been in power for a month, stripped of the campaign rhetoric, we can get a better idea of what we can expect from it.

For president we have a slick talking, Chicago ward-heeler, confidence man who says one thing one day and the total opposite the next. On top of that he won't show us his birth certificate so for all we know we may have an illegal alien occupying the White House.

We have a Treasury Secretary who tried to evade taxes and then lied about it to a Congressional Committee.

The first nominee for Secretary of HHS, Tom Daschle, withdrew because he didn't pay his proper taxes.

The first nominee for Commerce Secretary, Gov. Bill Richardson of Arizona, withdrew because he is being investigated because of improper awarding of state contracts. Can an indictment be far behind?

Another nominee who was supposed to monitor government expenditures also withdrew over tax difficulties.

Add to all this the enormous debt burden being laid on the American taxpayer bailing out millionaires.

Wise up Americans! Remember this in two years when the next Congressional elections are due. Throw these bums out and save what is left of your freedom.

All this in only one month!

Oh! For the good old principled days of the Clinton administration.

OPEN LETTER TO THE VOTERS OF MINNESOTA

This is a follow-up to my previous column "STUPIDITY"

While I have never been to Minnesota I always had the notion that Minnesotans were serious people of Scandanavian heritage. Unfortunately, I have now been disabused of that notion.

The state of Minnesota is now and has been since the 2008 election in a contentious battle over who won the last senate race. The incumbent Senator Norm Coleman suffered from the disadvantage of running when the Republican Party was severely out of favor.

The Democrat-Farmer-Labor Party nominated left wing comedian Al Franken. For God's sake AL FRANKEN!!!
Has some terrorist group unleashed a weapon of mass destruction rendering half of the population of Minnesota totally insane? AL FRANKEN?? This must be a bad dream. But no, as the recount and court decisions go on it looks like AL FRANKEN might actually become the junior senator from Minnesota. AL FRANKEN in the Senate of the United States!?!? God forbid!

The fact that Franken is even in a recount places an indelible blot on the reputation of all Minnesotans. Just think what a blot on the reputation of the Senate it would be if this clown, and I mean clown in the most pejorative sense, actually won the recount and entered the Senate.

Even in company with Harry Reid who said the Surge was a failure before it had even begun and Dick Durbin who compared our troops to Nazis the presence of AL FRANKEN in the Senate would plunge their reputation to a new low.

STUPIDITY

I'm 80 years old and I've come to the realization that people are stupid. I don't care how many degrees or PHD's they have, people are stupid.

Let me cite some examples and you may agree with me.

Mexicans sneak across our Southern border to come to the United States to earn a better living. Many of them, when they get here, refuse to learn the English language and refuse to assimilate into American culture. Some are even claiming that New Mexico, Arizona and California really belong to Mexico and should be returned to that corrupt and criminally ridden country. So they flee here for a better life and then try their damnedest to turn this country into the same type of hell hole they left.

Senator Gregg of New Hampshire has just accepted a nomination from President Obama to be the next Secretary of Commerce. One of the reasons given why this conservative senator would accept this appointment is that his state is becoming more and more liberal and his chances of being re-elected are growing slimmer by the day. The reason for this is the large number of people moving in from The People's Republic of Massachusetts to escape the high taxes and other liberal enactments like homosexual marriage and other outrages. So now they are voting for the same type of governmant they moved away from.

Before the 2008 election congress had an approval rating in the single digits. Even lower than President Bush hard as that is to believe. So what happened on Election Day? The vast majority of incumbents were re-elected. One of the definitions of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. So I guess this shows that American voters are not only stupid but insane as well.
People are crying out that they feel disenfranchised. That the people in Congress don't listen to them. Why should they listen? No matter what they do we keep sending them back year after year to do their dirty work. And don't tell me that your congressman is OK. That's BULL!! The longer they stay in Washington the worse they get.

I have a bumper sticker on my car which says, "THROW THE BUMS OUT." I intend to do everything I can to make that come about. I hope you will too.

DON'T VOTE FOR INCUMBENTS!!!!
